SUWANNEE SPRINGS

Once the site of a historic hotel and tourist attraction, Suwannee Springs is now owned by the Suwannee River Water Management District. In the late 1800s and early 1900s, this was a tourist hotspot for visitors hoping to be healed by the spring’s mineral waters. While little remains today aside from the ruins of the springhouse that surround the spring, visitors can swim in the springs, picnic, and sun on the snow-white river sand bars.
